10 aspirants scramble for the vacant Matulo ward seat in Webuye

As the Matulo ward by-election is expected to take place on November 28, there are more than 10 contestants who have shown interest in running for the vacant seat after the death of the then Webuye Deputy Mayor Timothy Karandini.
Most of them have been seen using public forums and funerals to express their political ambitions and affiliations.
This comes two months after the murder of Mr. Timothy Karandini Wekesa who was the councilor of the ward and also the Deputy Mayor at the Webuye Municipal Council.
As per now those who have stated their interest to vie for the seat include Mr. Grime Wangachi, Mr. Wafula Nambafu, Mr. Jethro Shiundu, Mr. Ronald Mukanda, Mr. Simiyu Barasa, Mr. Michael Muhindi and Mr. Jackson Wanjala all of New Ford Kenya Party.
Mr. Michael Nalika, Mr. Robinson Kisunia and Mr. Welamba in Ford Kenya while Mrs. Catherine Nyongesa in the Orange Democratic Movement.
All of them have showed optimism of emerging victor in the by-election that is also set to test the might of the three major parties; New Ford Kenya, ODM and Ford Kenya.
